Last year I started my own ceramics company in New Jersey. I never intended for it to become anything more than a hobby. But with a bunch of people asking me if I was going to open up my own shop, I had to try this out. I ended up living in New Brunswick NJ corporate housing.
Before that I was living in a one-bedroom studio at the time not far from where I was working. But, after I was getting so many requests to open up my own business, I had to give the people what they wanted.
I started off small and moved out into New Brunswick NJ corporate housing. I used this as a hub to start off my own ceramics shop. I did all of the molding here then would take it to a friend’s place where I had a kiln.
My business revolved around making ceramics with anyone who wanted to make stuff! This is a completely family-friendly event in while we make bowls, plates, or whatever you can name.
The one thing I tell people, is that they must be prepared to get a little dirty! Yes, your hands are going to get a lot of clay on them. But you can wash it off, like most things.
This year of working my own space has been amazing. It was nice working on my own time and I enjoyed working out of my New Brunswick NJ corporate housing.
I had a one-bedroom studio, but it got the job done and we were able to do pretty much everything, except for the kiln, at my place.
Sure, things got a little dirty. But as far as space, we didn’t have any issues at all. I only took small groups at a time and we always had a fun time.
In the coming months I will be expanding my business to a larger area in New Jersey. It’s obtained enough traction, to where I’ll be opening up a bigger shop!
I’m so excited for what the future has to hold. It’s been nice working out of New Brunswick NJ corporate housing. But I’m now happy to call this place home and I can work out of a different studio now.
I’ve been doing this the past year and it’s been a dream come true. I want to thank everyone for all of the support over the past year and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without everyone.
Now it’s time for me to go relax in my comfortable New Brunswick NJ corporate housing. I can’t wait for the next chapter of this business.
