Taking a step back from life and realizing I needed to go back to Detroit MI. I felt as if my whole life I was running away from family.
There were a lot of things that happened while I was growing up and I left my home town at the age of 18. Now as I’ve grown up a little more, I’ve realized I should reconnect with my family members.
I was offered a job in Detroit MI and that’s what brought this thought across my mind. Unfortunately, the job was in an in-person job and I couldn’t work from home.
It took a lot of time for me to make the decision to move back home and connect with relatives of mine. The first steps I took were accepting the job offer and finding furnished apartments in Ann Arbor.

Soon after I reached out, I was getting coffee with family that I had not seen in years. It was nice catching up with them and re-establishing trust that was once lost. I think everyone needs to be forgiven for their mistakes. I have a lot to work on here in Detroit MI.
